How do I check fit before opening my other garments?

Accepted Answer

Proper fit is essential for accurate ECG readings. Each box has one "Try Me On" garment, which you should open and try on for fit before opening the other garments. To ensure consistent and accurate data collection, the elastic band must be resting comfortably on your skin, not too tight or loose.

**Note that if you open garments that don't have the "Try Me On" label, these cannot be returned.**

How do I unbox my Skiin Pod and charging kit?

Accepted Answer

Open the Skiin Pod and charging kit box, where you'll find the Skiin Pod in the inner tray. Under this tray you'll find the USB charging dock, cable, and wall plug.

How do I disconnect my Skiin Pod from my phone?

Accepted Answer

For optimal performance of the Skiin system, and to avoid gaps in data, we recommend keeping the device connected to the app at all times.

**If you want to disconnect, follow these steps:**

1. In the app, find Devices in the bottom navigation bar and open that screen.
2. In the Devices screen, you'll find a list of Pods paired to the app. Select the Pod you want to disconnect.
3. Scroll down to find the Disconnect button.

How do I insert the Skiin Pod into the garment?

Accepted Answer

First, make sure you've successfully paired your Pod with your mobile device, via Bluetooth, using the Skiin Connected Life app.

**Then follow these steps:**

1. Put on the garment.
2. Locate the garment dock on the elastic band of the garment.
3. Hold the Skiin Pod with the logo side up, with the logo facing away from you.
4. Insert the Pod into the dock. With a magnetic pull, the Pod should snap into place.
5. The Devices screen in the app will sound the garment signal.

How do I charge the Skiin Pod?

Accepted Answer

**Follow these steps to charge your Pod:**

1. Find the charging kit included in your Skiin packaging.
2. Use the wall adapter to connect your charging cable and charging dock into a wall outlet.
3. Hold the Pod with its logo facing up, and insert it into the charging dock. With a magnetic pull, the Pod should snap into place.
4. While charging, the Pod's indicator light will be yellow. Once fully charged, the light will turn green.
5. Remove the Pod from the charging dock, and unplug the adapte

What do the LED indicator colors on my Pod mean?

Accepted Answer

The LED light in your Pod changes colors and states to indicate levels of charge and connection.

**LED Indicator Reference:**

- **Low Battery** — Red
- **Charging** — Yellow
- **Fully Charged** — Green
- **Searching for Connection** — Blinking Yellow
- **Connected** — Slowly Blinking Blue

My Pod is blinking yellow. What does this mean?

Accepted Answer

A blinking yellow LED light indicates that the Pod is not paired, and is searching for a connection. Once the Pod is connected to your mobile device via Bluetooth, the light will switch to a slowly blinking blue light.

Question 9

How can I tell if my Skiin Pod is connected?

Accepted Answer

The Garments screen in the app lists which devices are currently connected, along with the connection quality. You can also check the Pod's LED indicator: a slowly blinking blue light means the Pod is connected. A blinking yellow light indicates that the Pod is searching for a connection. If the light is off, your Pod has no charge, or is in sleep mode.

How do I connect the Skiin pod to the garment?

**Follow these steps:**

1. Before you insert the Pod, make sure it is paired via Bluetooth to the App.
2. Next, insert the Pod into the Garment Dock. While inserting the Pod in the Garment Dock make sure the head of the Pod with the Skiin logo is pointing outward and is visible outside after the Pod is inserted. The magnets in the Garment Dock will snap and pull the Pod in place.
3. You should see the Garment Signal appear in the Devices page of the App.

Can I connect the Skiin Pod to more than one mobile device?

With the current version of the app, the Skiin pod can be connected to only one mobile device at a time.

Question 12

How do I turn the Skiin Pod on & off?

Accepted Answer

The Skiin Pod is always on, as long as it's charged. You can't turn the Pod off, but you can disconnect it from your device, if you want to stop transmitting data.

Open the "Try Me On" garment and check that it fits properly. To ensure consistent and accurate data collection, the elastic band must be resting comfortably on your skin, not too tight or loose.

How can I disconnect the Pod from the App?

Accepted Answer

**Follow these steps:**

1. To disconnect a Pod, go to the 'Devices' tab at the bottom navigation bar in the app and click it.
2. Under devices you will see a list of devices paired to the app. Select the device you want to disconnect.
3. The device specific page will open and when you scroll down the page you will find the Disconnect button. Click on it and confirm to disconnect.

**Note:** For the optimal performance of the Skiin system we recommend you keep the device connected to the app at

Why is my Pod not connecting to my garment?

Accepted Answer

If you have an android phone, ensure that you have enabled all location permissions. Also make sure that your phone is using the latest software version for Android and iOS. For iPhones, you need to be running iOS 13.0 and above. Android phones need to be running OS 9.0 and above.

Question 16

How do I wear the underwear?

Accepted Answer

The waistband should sit comfortably on your hips, not too tight or too loose. In the waistband are 5 sensor zones: 3 on the left hip and 2 on the right hip. Make sure that each sensor is in contact with your skin.

Question 17

How do I wear the Chest Band?

Accepted Answer

**Follow these steps:**

1. Wrap the band around your chest on the loosest setting and tighten as needed.
2. Locate the centre front of the band by the raised line after the SKIIN logo. Position the band below your Pectoral muscles or under your bustline.
3. You will hear a snapping sound when you open and close the closure.
